I LOVE pretty stationary but never write many letters so I have lots just sitting in boxes.

www.horchow.com has a lot of pretty things. I got this for X-mas and it's really good quality (obviously this wouldn't work for your husband) but they have more classic, traditional styles too.

www.crane.com is probably your best bet for high quality and traditional styles. One of my faves are the pineappple cards which I write thank you notes on (since pineapples stand for hospitality... get it?)

i second horchow.com. they have a really good selection and are super-reasonably priced. they will spam the heck out of you for the rest of your life if you order from them, but i think it's worth it.

i also like the selection at chelseapaper.com, but i have never ordered it so i can't comment on quality.
