matching fingers and toes?

i was having such a dilemma at the nail salon last night--lately i've been into short, deep red fingernails but i also like the same color (essie bordeaux) on toes.  so i was trying to remember, is it considered a fashion faux pas to have matching fingers and toes?  i know that back in the day they were supposed to match but now thats considered too matchy?  thoughts anyone?

I dont' think it matters.  I sometimes go the same, and sometimes I don't...  just depends on my mood.


BTW, I also love Essie Bordeaux!

i always either match or go nude on one set cuz i think mismatching doesn't look right (at least on me).  i have a hard time being wild w/ colors now that i'm older though so i usually get french manicure on fingers & toes because they'll match w/ any outfit.  in high school i used to be the nail polish queen & would have different nails almost every day!
