I posted this under a different topic, but no one responded.
I'm surprised....
What is your favorite for keeping curls separated and most impt. NOT FRIZZY. my hair is thick, but not tightly curled. I'm going on my honeymoon and not even trying to straighten my hair (not even bringing a hair dryer! i'm so wild!) .
So, i need a quick, good, girl-tested and approved product.
I didn't even see this topic before, or I would've responded
Most stuff made for curls makes my hair crunchy or droopy. My favorite product and the only one I use is Sebastian Potion 9. It is really a conditioning/protecting product, but it works really well on curls. It smells yummy too!

Sorry for not responding -- I didn't see your original post. Anyway, I have curly hair and I use Be Curly by Aveda. It put a big dab in my hands and run them over/through my hair after it has been towel-dried. I always let it air dry. It is very conditioning, and does not make my hair frizz (as long as I don't touch it -- that separates the locks and makes it frizz.)

don't know how i missed your post, sorry for not replying! i have thick dark curly/wavy hair that reaches mid-back and has layers in it. here's my routine:
1. wash hair w/ ecoly primrose shampoo
2. condition w/ ecoly sage weightless conditioner--flip hair upside down while in the shower and detangle w/ a wide tooth comb. squeeze out excess water w/ towel but do not rub.
3. while hair is still wet (but not dripping), separate w/ fingers, start scrunching. then put a dollop of ecoly thyme volumizing gel mousse in palm, wait 'til it turns into mousse (happens before your eyes) and apply, scrunching up as you go. mind you you are still upside down during this process.
4. blowdry w/ diffuser attachment (while still upside down), takes about fifteen min.
voila! perfect spiral curls, no crunch, no frizz :)
Garnier Fructis shampoo for Dry or Damaged Hair...
Dove Conditioner in Intense Moisture...
Frizz ease...
L'Oreal Lasting Curls gel...
I have tried everything and this is what I'm doing right now. I also like Aveda's Be Curly, which was mentioned, but I use a TON of product in my hair (it doesn't look like I do, I just have more hair than you've ever seen) so it's pretty expensive spending $16 a bottle that will last for a week. It gives me tighter, less defined curls than the L'Oreal stuff does. It's hard to explain, they're smaller and more mushed together, but I like it.
I was just on vacation and left my hair curly for most of it...I just scrunched in some cheapo mousse and let it air dry. It's a good way to go if you don't have a lot of time and are running out the door.
