Wedding is in 1 week and 5 days!!!! I have the worst sore throat ever and wish I had 1 day to rest.
I am SO excited and everything is FINALLY coming together!
If any newlyweds have any last minute advice I'd appreciate anything! I've got the deep breathing thing DOWN! Is it hyperventilate or deep breathing? I forget....
How is everyone else's planning going?? I miss it already!
got a great (late) shower gift...A personalized pad with my new name on it. I'm Stillman so Silverstein isn't such a big difference. I didnt even notice until I got home! It's such a great and throughtful and useful gift. my friend said she gives it to everyone.
Nervous only about the details...our 1st dance, walking down the aisle and not crying, remembering everything.
little things, like remembering eye drops since my contacts will be in for HOURS, extra stockings, just tough bc i have to pack for the week at home 1st, then the hotel for the wedding andthe honeymooon bc I'm in NY and the wedding is in DC and home is MD, so....
TONS of lists and lists of lists. I have my friend's wedding Sunday then I'm driving home Monday and running around all week, wrapping wedding party gifts, hair/nails/dentist, drop stuff @ wedding planners, kinkos to color copy old pictures in case they get misplaced, and SOME time to relax and think about what is really happening.
This weekend was really nice. i think we're both realizing it's really happening and i'm glad we're both still happy about it. I think the past week has been the best in our entire relationship and I think that's the way it's supposed to be.
I just keep thinking...in 1 week i'll be....in 2 weeks i'll be....all day saturday i was projecting 2 weeks ahead....
No words of advice on what you should/shouldn't be doing but Congrats! I can't wait until I get married. I will be just like you though hoping and praying that I won't burst into tears a million times that day. I am too emotional and I just know I'll be a crying wreck my big day for no good reason. I want to see pictures when you get back!
Do some fun stuff for you, The night before my rehearsal dinner I went and got my nails done and got a pedicure with my MOH. Then we just hung out. It was so relaxing and fun. I really needed a day like that before all the hoopla began! Congrats!!
so excited for you! you are the first of the 2005 brides - i can't wait to hear all about it and see pictures when you return. :)
congratulations!

Thursday = mani/pedi w/mom, and dentist and hair blown out.
Fri = rehearsal and rehearsal dinner then a final sleepover w/my BFF (the necklaces and all) since 4th grade who's the matron of honor and the rabbi. I think we'll play yhatzee and spit all night like old times. We don't have much in common any more but she's the only friend I have who actually knew my 1st kiss (and i mean peck).
Sat= get ready all day, run around DC taking pix, get married and EAT!
Sun= brunch
Mon= deposit checks and leave for honeymoon(!!!!)
It's like a whirlwind that is happening but not to me personally. Like all the food we picked will be there and the flowers and everything but I'll be a guest.
still nervous for the 1st dance. We've been debating: few sips of alcohol to relax, or none so we don't forget the steps. Either way it'll be a riot!
must work, but this is all i think about. Today is my last day at work for THREE Weeks, I think today might be the happiest day of my life!
congrats! the next 3 weeks will be so much fun! it might be silly to say this, but try really hard to remember as much as you can about the next week, and especially the day of your wedding - it's such a whirlwind that it will go by really fast! i think the month of my wedding (from the week before until after the honeymoon) was the best time of my life, but it went by waaaay too fast for me to really cherish every moment. as lame as it sounds, try to step back every once in a while and take it all in.
