smoothing product for wavy hair
Permalink Closed

Hi all,

I need hair product recommendations.  I have really thick, wavy hair.  For years and years I straightened it every day, but about 9 months ago I tried starting to embrace the waviness and play with the natural curls.  Most days my hair looks good and I'm happy with it.  But sometimes it just looks too frizzy, like there are all these random frizzy hairs out of place.

Can anyone recommend a product that will smooth it out, yet won't weigh down the curls?

TIA!

I have really thick, wavy hair as well and I've found that John Frieda Sheer Blonde Dream Creme Instand Silkener works well. I think that there is a similar product in the Brilliant Brunette line, as well.  Sometimes in the summer, I also use John Frieda Beach Blonde oil. I can't remember the actual name of the product and right now, I'm feeling too lazy to walk to the bathroom to find it. But anyway, it's oil and it smells like suntan lotion. My hair is so thick that the oil doesn't weigh it down at all.  HTH!

I have long wavy hair and I use this-

It works really well for me because it's light, but holds small stray hairs. I also use John Freida Beach Oil, and I also recommend that. But if you're looking for something different, this works.

Thanks for the recs, girls.  My pharmacy didn't have the Beach Oil, so I'm trying out the Dream Cream and it seems to be working well so far.

i have very thick wavy hair. It takes about 30 minutes to blow dry. The ionic dryer helped it not be so frizzy and I like Biosilk.
