I'm hating this season! I'm just about to give up on it. I really think Rob and Amber are ruining the show. The point of the show is to go and compete and complete the tasks. Not to quit because you don't wanna do it and then convience other teams to follow suit to cover your ass. Last week wasn't any fun to watch at all. Part of the fun is watching the teams suffer through it and then coming together at the end. I was also pissed that the girl team that was eliminated ate it all without complaining or fighting and were eliminated. It seems like one of the groups that refused to finish should have been eliminated.

The son/mother team was killing me last night. I am so glad they are gone. After it was all over my brother and I said at the same time its no wonder the guy doesn't have a boyfriend. He is too whiny and bitchy.

The guy and his girlfriend bug me. Was it really necessary to take her shirt off while riding the horse yesterday? Their fighting reminds me of john and victoria's fighting last season.

The old people are going next week or the next time there is an elimination. i just don't see them making it much longer. Next week did look pretty scary though. The poor woman had blood running all down her face.

I like the brothers but just don't see them winning. Who knows.

I am so with Detroit - I want Rob and Amber to win. I guess it's really love 'em or hate 'em, right? I am a HUGE Survivor fan (this season is GREAT!) and fell in love with the Rob and Amber combo from that, and ONLY tune in to The Great Race to see them. I love how they play the game; Rob is so wiley and he cracks me up. I can totally see why Amber is head over heels for him (and vice-versa).

My favorite part was when they didn't know what they were doing on the train so they followed the team that slinked away figuring they knew what was going on. THen the other teams were left behind asking where the people that knew where they were going went. Those other teams could have easily done what Rob and Amber did, but they didn't. Too bad for them.

Such a fun show - I'll tune in as long as my favorite reality couple is on it.

Maybe thats my problem with this season: I'm not a survivor fan. Rob is just such an ass it makes me wonder what show he'll be on next because he refuses to let his 15 minutes of fame burn out. I just hate the way they play the game. To me they aren't playing the game. Oh well next season will be different since its the family season.

i was ready to HATE rob and amber, but my reaction is the exact opposite of yours, lsubatgirl--i feel like for the FIRST TIME since i've watched the show (only a couple seasons), someone is actually playing the game! rob is kicking ass... he actually has strategy, thinks about how to come in first, and isn't trying to make friends. (this isn't a vote-off game, so why do people try to be nicey-nicey? screw them all!) i also like the gay couple though. i think it's funny that they HATE HATE HATE rob and amber so much. "survive this!" heh. i hope both teams make it to the final three.

Next week looks scary. I just feel the point of the roadblock is to do the task and compete since it is still a competition. I think its much funner to watch them all struggle and fight with each other than to sit on the sidelines with their finger up their butt but that's jmo.

Maybe it will get better.

i, too, love rob and amber (well, mostly rob...heehee) and have since survivor. i love the fact that he seems like a total dumbass, but he's always scheming/plotting/thinking...and he's hilarious. his comment last night about being born with a lucky horse shoe up his ass had me choking on my drink. you're exactly right, mizzle - this game isn't about being nice, it's about winning. and they will.

lsu - i think that by quitting the roadblock rob *was* playing the game - i know i couldn't eat four pounds of meat even if it was prepared in a way i liked, nevermind however that stuff was cooked. by realizing early on that other people wouldn't be able to/want to finish either, he basically guaranteed that he and amber would be safe from elimination.

next week's episode does look crazy - the head wound, the car crash - i can't wait!

oh, and i'm SO glad that mother/son team is gone. if i had to listen to that boy for another minute i was going to find and hurt him.

That's totally how I felt at first too, but I love that they are actually playing the game. I also like the two brothers, they seem like doofuses who keep stumbling onto the right track by some stoke of luck. But I can't stand the Mom and son who got eliminated (sooo glad they're gone) and the couple with the older guy/younger woman. They are horrible to each other and she's such a whiner.

Gretchen's (? the older lady) bloody face looks crazy! Next week should be good.
