Because Fashionprincess asked, here are the pictures of our nursery. I went with a shabby chic theme because it's fun and easy to mix and match pieces. I found bedding I loved and just worked around that. From my single girl apartment, I was able to reuse several of my very feminine, shabby chic pieces.
I also was really lucky to find some great things on sale... like the Pottery Barn Kids chandelier I got for 50% off at the PB outlet, the good as new dresser that I also use as a changing table from the Rooms to Go outlet, and the iron bed that was in my sister's childhood bedroom and was in my parents' attic (and it's part of a twin set so when Sutton's older we'll get the other one out too).
The already taupe walls matched everything perfectly so we didn't have to paint.
I really wanted a white iron crib and we found this one at Babies R Us... and we used 2 coupons so we got it for a great price.
Vintage looking nursery rhyme prints I found on Smart Bargains.
These bud vases are from the easter collection at Bath and Body Works years ago and were leftover from my college dorm room.
Her closet... that she shares with my winter shoes and some cocktail dresses and tote bags.
My attempt at craftiness... her name letters I made myself.
