I'll just give the rundown. I'm finally done with the Xmas gift returns/exchanges.
TJ Maxx - exchanged mom's gifts and got a cute black French Connection loose cardigan with an asymmetrically buttoned, double-breasted placket; a silk scarf; and a Ken Cole Eisenhower(ish) jacket for DH.
Goodwill - I overdid it a bit, and also got some cheapo stuff I shouldn't have bought, but I was happy to find any tops I liked:
F21 short-sleeved blouse, satin, black with white polka dots. Barely or never worn.
Long-sleeved grey knit jersey top that is one piece but looks like two layers, with a cowl neck top layer over a tank layer, by Ya Ya, which is a European brand. Barely or never worn.
This is so random. An old band t-shirt, but it's a band my friend is in, so I had to buy it.
F21 knit halterish tank top, all black but the band around the neck is silver. A basic cute top for the "jeans and a cute top" party look. New with tags.
Kimchi & Blue knit tunic tee, black with some gray embroidered abstract flowers on the top part and sleeves. Barely or never worn.
Another double-layer top, which I bought just for the underlayer, a knit cami with thin b/w stripes that will be perfect under the new dress with the deep V. I used a seam ripper to separate them where they were sewn together - I am a genius! Also barely or never worn.
So, 6 tops, total, $26. I think I'm done shopping for the first quarter of 2009. I'm tired!
I forgot to mention in the weekday thread - at Salvation Army on Wednesday, I found new or barely worn dark bootcut BR jeans that make my butt look great - $6. As a bonus, after a year of not knowing what size I am anymore, I now feel confident ordering size 6 at BR.
I also found soft, lightweight Calvin Klein cuffed capris that are great hanging-around jeans - also $6. I was not looking for jeans, but that's the joy of thrift stores -- you never know what you'll find.
Thanks . The pic itself is a Christmas present my cousin bought in London for me. I bought the frame, and I think the metal in the frame goes really well with the picture. It's from an english artist. Don't remember his name, but if you are interested I can look for his signature on the picture

It's Banksy. He's an amazing grafitti artist!
