how to sell on ebay?
Permalink Closed

Could someone give me some basic instructions on how to get started selling on ebay. I just have a couple of items I would like to list.  I was reading their instructions and is there a fee you have to pay?  Also, it says they need your checking account # (this scares me a little).  If you sell something, what percentage do they get?  Can someone give me the basics?  Thanks.

I haven't sold anything in a long time but they charge a fee to list a item, and they take a small percentage of what you sell.  Also most people prefer to pay by Paypal, and Paypal also wants a small fee when people send you money.

Considering the fees, if your going to sell something, it's only worth the time if your going to make at least $20.

Check out similar listings.  Item description, pictures, and TOS is very important if you want serious bids.

so would it be worth it if your selling a lot of smaller items? or maybe just group them together and sell in a lot to make it worthwhile?
