So am I the only one who is all excited for the John Stamos show tonight after EMHE? I feel a little dorky - I mean he *was* Uncle Jesse, which is rather unforunate, but like any good teen of the 80s, I love him for his work as Blackie on GH. Also I saw him as the Emcee in Cabaret at Studio 54, and earned a whole new respect for him as a performer (that's my story and I am sticking to it). And, a bit of trivia, saw him drumming with the Beach Boys in the 80s at well (think one of them was in rehab and he was filling in).
Is Desperate HW a repeat tonight? This could cause a viewing conflict!

So what did you think? I thought it was pretty good for a new show. Normally you can tell if the show is new by the acting but i like it. The only problem is that its regular time is on thurdays @8 sametime as the OC.
I thought John Stamos was hot and a good actor. His friend Adrien annoyed me with his whining. I liked him alot better gay in Felicity. That creepy black turtleneck guy has got to go too.

I think that the target dem is largely made up of those of us who love JS from the 80s (in our 30s), and a lot of us don't watch the O.C.... Just a theory. And I hate that Joey show, so 8:00 Thursdays is great for me - I have nothing else to watch!
I think he can act! More than a lot of people, anyway, As I said, he was great in Cabaret.

i think you have quite the crush on stamos.
i watched about 15 minutes of the show and I was *yawn* bored. i am tired of these shows where they try to get one main b-list actor to carry a whole show instead of a cast of cool funny actors/actresses working as a unit to make a show funny. take desperate housewives. one of the reasons I think it works is because no one charecter carries the show. you spend about equal amounts of time with the four main housewives. why can't we have that in a "male" show? i say stamos needed the following people to bolster this already flagging show jon favreau (from swingers - i think it is time he makes a tv apperence. witty, funny and oddly endearing despite his twitchyness he is one of my faves.) benjamin bratt (great actor who lanquished for years in the formulaic role on law and order he needs to come back to tv. besides i'd love to see him play a male version of samantha.) terrance dashon howard (african american actor from the movie the best man, harts war and etc. need a black guy in a show like this and he can act. funny and strangely atttractive despite the fact that he looks like some sort of animal. i think he needs a good tv show to showcase his talent.) then they need the writers from sex and the city or scrubs. oh well guess this is a fantasy it would never happen.
hey, dewdk, i think ur onto something! i mean, they did kinda advertise it like sex & the city but w/ guys...remember the tagline "different sex, same city"? i thought that's what it was going to be. i wasn't thrilled w/ the show, but i'm not home thurs @ 8 anyways, so no big loss here!
I love John Stamos!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, I missed the premier of Jake in Progress and it's regular time slot interferes with the Apprentice!! *Sigh* I'll have to check it out, though. I still watch reruns of Full House on Nick at Night, so I can stare at him.
I didn't think it was great, but I liked it and will watch it again. At least until Julie Bowen (from Ed) shows up. She is going to be the love interest with staying power. That's what Johnny-boy said on Regis and Kelly. I love Julie Bowen. Ed was one of my all time favorite shows...no surprise, it was cancelled. Ed, Once and Again...it seems like the shows I really like get cancelled!
OK so I just watched like 4 episodes of Jake in Progess last night and I liked it. I think the show is really cute. I am also happy to see something other than all the reality and police/lawyer shows. How many CSIs and law and orders does one need a week. I think the character he plays fits him perfectly. I can't wait to watch it again.
Okay, so I might be in minority here, but I watched the two pilot episodes and really liked them. I actually laughed out loud, which is quite rare for me (when watching tv). So I'll totally watch it again.
