What did everyone think of last night's episode? Just okay, IMO.
I was so annoyed that Ryan was so distraught over Lindsey. They had no chemistry whatsoever and they broke up like 12 times over the two months they were together. I hope that is the end of the character.
I'm liking the Julie Cooper story line tho. Loved her 80s side ponytail in the porn! LOL.
ok, so Juju did a porn and didn't want it released. But since it was scripted and produced (not just a at-home sex video ala Paris Hilton/Pam and Tommy Lee) and packaged...the box was sitting on the table "the Porn Identity"... doesn't that mean it was already released???
Other than that the rest of the episode was
I think I was wrong. I don't want Seth and Summer back togeather. I like them better when they have awkward sexual tension.
I thought last night's epoisde was pretty good. I liked when they were playing Hockey. But I like Summer and Seth back together. I just don't like Marissa (her "whatever" phase, plus i still hate the way she acts) and Ryan (mr. no personality) how could she be in love with HIM. Anyways, I like the Julie Cooper Storyline. Plus I like the part where she was talking with Alex. Other than that next week looked pretty good, Alex wants to fight Ryan for Marissa. HAHA
Next week's episode looks good, but last night was pretty much an hour of garbage.
BTW, The Porn Identity? The Bourne Identity wasn't written until 1984. I find it hard to believe that some porn writer was witty enough to base a movie off a book that wasn't made into a movie until almost 20 years later.

farrah, i was thinking the same thing about the title--that was too unrealistic (as if we worry about that with this show!).
i kind of liked this episode. yes, it was sort of stalling all the storylines to have the kids "lost in the mall," but i thought the scenes with the "sports" were funny and i laughed out loud when summer said "we're locked in the mall--it's like my ultimate fantasy." i also think they are setting up the drama between marissa/alex/julie cooper for next week, so that should be fun. and yeah, i'm not buying ryan being that broken up over lindsay leaving--i think it was more that she was leaving though and less that she was lindsay.

i love the OC, but everything about it is off and that has always bugged me a smidge. particularly all of their "nostalgic" toys and songs -- for example, i am 27 (assuming i am about 10 years older than the OC gang) and i played with my little ponies when i was about 8-10 or so, and boyz II men were popular when i was in the 6-8 grade, so these are "nostalgic" things for someone *my* age (and also the writer's age), not someone their age, who would have been.... hmmm... a toddler (if that!) when these things were popular. i understand that a lot of the indie craze has been based on reviving things that we popular in the eighties, but it seems like marissa clutches her carebear and summer loves her princess sparkle like they were toys that they loved and played with when they were kids -- in actuality, these things would have been in their cribs if that!
sorry - mini rant. as i said, i LOVE the show, but the references to the youth of people my age always bugged me a bit.

I thought they same thing when they were playing Boyz 2 Men. We used to play them at our junior high proms... which would have made the OC gang about 4 or 5 when they were popular? Those 80's/ early 90's references have always bugged me, too.
