Hi everyone... this is my first post, although I've been reading for a couple of weeks now. So I bought these shoes:



And I plan on wearing them to a shower next month. I haven't received them yet (they should be arriving any day now) so I just have the picture to work with so far. I was thinking of maybe wearing them with this skirt:



(there's green grosgrain ribbon along the bottom hem) and maybe a beater underneath this shrug:



But I'm not sure. I don't want to go too matchy and go with only green and white in the outfit, but I wonder if this will clash too much. I was thinking that maybe I could replace the ribbon in the shrug with green ribbon, but I don't know... I like the color combination of green and aqua, but I feel like I need something else to bring it all together. Also, do you think that the shrug is too heavy to be wearing with the lightweight skirt and peep-toes? I thought I liked the different textures together, but now that I see everything together, I'm not sure. Maybe a white blazer would be better. Thanks, girls, I look forward to hearing your opinions and/or suggestions... you all really know what you're talking about!

Welcome! I love that shrug but I do think that it might look kind of off with the lightweight skirt. I think that the shoes and the skirt will look good together though. On top maybe you could try the beater and a lighter cardigan/shrug. A blazer could be cute, too. If you like the idea of the green and the aqua together, maybe you could try something like this Forever 21 cardi. It goes with the green in the shoes but I don't think it will be too matchy because of the contrast between the green and the aqua. It comes in white too, if you'd prefer.

Target has those tie in the front things(like shrugs) that would look good over a tank or cami right now in every color.  Why not check them out.  The one you posted is pretty but looks too bulky and heavy for the skirt and shoes.

i agree with a lighter cardi...


and i have to say taht i love that aqua blue and green together this season.  i have a pair of green mocs that i wear with jeans and an aqua long sleeve tee with a metallic gold, aqua and green belt.  so cute!  so i totally agree with the color combo!
