I am so mad. In class today, I was playing spider solitaire throughout and one of the deans was right behind me. This dean is a pain, whenever she's in the room observing the class, she'll make a note of who's doing other things on their computer and tell the professor, who then in turns calls on you a lot the following days. In law school, professors randomly call on people, ask you tons of questions, don't give you any feedback, and attack everything you say. Just like in Legally Blonde. The way I see it, if I read, get decend grades, and still manage to take notes during my solataire games... who cares?
What really makes me mad is my friends didn't clue me in. They said they did but they made NO gesture. And the class is kinda loud, so they could have even whispered. You gotta love law school sabotage. B/c I'm a dork, here's an illustration of me and other friend (who was luckily also engaged in solitaire). I sit at the angle of a corner table and my friends wrap around to the other side.

I guess I could take this as a lesson to pay attention in class more. Um, that's not going to happen. I just got called on yesturday... I guess I should prepare to be drilled on Friday too
ugh - I know what you mean - we're really bad about instant messaging in my classes - we have a prof that likes to walk through the auditorium and lecture - it was funny how the typing would die to nothing when he would walk up to the back of the room, and pick back up when he walked back down to the podium... at least with instant messaging we can warn each other!

That sucks! That's so high school and as long as you aren't disrupting class, who cares? You're the one that's paying them. And that's shitty of your friends not to tell you.
