I had the best vitamin shop when i lived in philly and since the ones here don't seem to be as helpful, i was wondering what supplements everyone takes. currently i take vitamin b complex (for my hair and nails), fish oil, fiber (sometimes), and a multivitamin.

multi, calcium, vitamin C & E, sometime a B complex, sometimes omega complex, glucosamine Condriton, MSM, and fiber with L-glutamine mixed with my protein powder.
i have definitely noticed an improvement (especially in my nails). i am trying to grow my hair just a little longer and it's probably grown a good six inches in the last year (probably more like 8 mnths). i have also heard of prenatal vitamins (but i think the bf might freak if he saw those in the medicine cabinet ! it also turns your urine NEON yellow. i didn't know that when i first took it, and i kinda freaked out!

OMG!!! That's a lot of pills to take! How do you split it up throughout the day?
I take Centrum, SAM-e, vitamin E, vitamin C, green tea, gingko, horse chestnut root, DMAE, CoQ10, alpha lipoic acid, and... I think that's it... I take them all in the morning - we jokingly call it the breakfast of the future (it's like a plate of pills)
uh - I have shiny hair that grows quickly, but my nails are weak - always have been though...

multi (it's a whole food supplement, which means it 100% derived from food sources, so it doesn't make you queasy. the reason some vitamins make you queasy on an empty stomach is b/c your body doesn't recognize them as food. kind of scary.) (megafood is the brand)
some type of EFA (essential fatty acid), right now i like health from the sun women's oil
calcium (again, a food based one by rainbow light)
I generally get over 100% of my daily intake of vitamins and minerals so I don't take one. I've read it's bad to say, eat a cereal and take a multi because the minerals don't absorb...or something, can't really remember but that's why I don't take one.
I take fiber pills and I take a prenatal vitamin...it has all the essentail nutrients that I need and we are going to try to get preganay thhis summer...
wow! congrats. that's soo exciting. way to plan ahead and take the vitamins early!
