I like that look and don't think it's too matchy if you're just doing the shoes and bag thing. I would wear it with a really simple outfit like a blue turtleneck and skirt or something like that but I don't frown upon that look at all.

I know exactly what you mean - I bought silver ballet flats and immediately marched out and bought the cutest silver purse, but when i wore it I was thinking of you ladies and if I looked to matchy matchy. But i agree with Bliss, I feel better if my shoes & purse are in the same family.
If others disagree, please tell us how you determine what color purse to put with your shoes? Do you match your outift instead? And isn't that equally matchy matchy? I guess that's how I look at it, I either match my purse to my shoes or my outfit.

I think matching your shoes and bag is fine, as long as its not the same as your shirt or something. Like don't wear gray pants with silver shoes and bag....
I would probably do a brown bag w/bronze shoes or brown shoes w/bronze bag because I think when it comes to metallic things, less is more. I do sometimes wear the same color shoes and bag, like black shoes and black bag, but not very often. More often it is brown shoes w/burgandy bag or pink shoes w/ burgandy bag, etc. I only rotate like 3 bags (unless it is a clutch). I like the way a lot of the girls in the Thread Style forum work their bags. Anyway, hope that helps!
