Ionic Breeze - yay or nay?

My BF has a Quadra and so does my mom. My brother has the mini plug in one for his dorm room. We are like the Ionic Breeze poster children. The only reason I don't have one in my apartment is because I never got around to it and I'd rather spend the money on shoes.

You can defintely get away with the Quadra. Don't get the big GP one, IMO that's not worth the $500 you spend on it, plus it's really gigantic.

BF's apartment is probably around 900 sq. ft and the Quadra works great. We do notice a TON of dust in the trap, but that is partially because we live near a major Los Angeles thoroughfare and deal with all the pollution that comes in when we open the windows. We got it to help combat the dust that would circulate all around the apartment and settle on everything. It does work and there is dust in the trap. We don't really have allergies so I can't comment on that, but the air does feel cleaner (although it's not like we're breathing in nature's fresh air or anything) and we don't have to wipe all his stuff down nearly as much. He has to clean it maybe every 2-4 days. We also got that one refurbished, so it was only $175, as opposed to the $350 that it is usually. We've never noticed any performance issues.

I know nothing about Ionic Breezes personally, but one of my friends has one and said they helped with her allergies. She was even on one of their informercials. I sometimes still see it running, look for the girl named Tori, that's my friend! (Of course her mom used to be the general counsel for the company, so that might have to do something with her getting to be on tv.)

I just got one this week!

We got one for our bedroom. Our dog stays in there during the day when we are at work and sometimes it smells a little bit doggy. We are already noticing a huge difference and it has only been plugged in for about 24 hours.

Ours is the desktop size, and it is about 12 inches tall. Thus far I would say that it isn't big enough to effectively filter a whole apartment, however, like I said, it has only been plugged in for a day. I'll post again if I notice a difference in a few more days.

We have the Quadra, and it seems to work pretty well. We do have to clean the collection plates pretty often because it makes this weird buzzing sound when they're full of gunk. It takes a wholelotta stuff out of the air, so I would say it's doing the job.
