oh, no I don't have cable so I only get CBS, ABC, NBC, and PBS. Do you know any lyrics? It sounds sort of familiar, but than I think "afternoon Delight" was a popular phrase in the 70's.

If you've ever seen Rules of Attraction, it is also the song that James Van der Beek's character masturbates to.

All I have to say is that i want someone to direct me to the "old lady" fashion board, cause I feel OLD!!! I'm laughing so hard at the comments of the younger people. And I remember so many of the songs that were #1 when you were born!!!! So I know how you are feeling dc!!!!
But if it makes any of you feel better, I have a sister who turned 17 yesterday & when she hangs out with me she says things like "You are like an older teenager" which I believe is a compliment!! Thank you girls for helping me keep up, but she was saying that even before I came here, so I guess I was doing ok.
BTW, my husband's is "Love Will Keep Us Together" by Captain & Tennille. HA

The plotline of Arrested Development was that one character and his teenage niece decided to do karaoke at an office Christmas party and the niece selected "Afternoon Delight" because it was the first song on the list.
The lyrics are: Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight gonna grab some afternoon delight. My motto's always been; when it's right, it's right. Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night. When everything's a little clearer in the light of day. And you know the night is always gonna be there any way.
Sky rockets in flight. Afternoon delight. Afternoon delight.
and it was at this point in the song that they realized that it was a totally inappropriate choice:
Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite looking forward to a little afternoon delight. Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite and the thought of rubbin' you is getting so exciting.
