stopped in a local boutique last night (Incognito in Royal Oak, MI) and found some cool things and great deals... The higlights of my purchases were:
this tee only inchocolate brown with pink lettering! it's like a custom stylethread tee for me - I HAD to have it, of course! (guess how I folded it )http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/fold.php
both pairs of these shoes marked down 70% to only $16!! I really like the retro 1940's feel of them... just fun shoes - and hell - for $16 bucks each? they'll be fun...
and... the deal of the night... these Frye boots also marked down 70% to $88 (originally $295) mine are the same as these but look much lighter and less contrasty in person - actually, very neutral... I love them

Nice stuff, I really like the Fryes. I've got some money that is just burning a hole in my pocket so I'm sure I'll post something in this thread later.
I have those blue MOD shoes, Detroit! Sometimes I press the straps down in such a way that they wrap around the back of my ankle instead of the front. Just an idea for you. Enjoy them. I look forward to seeing what outfits you make with them as I have rarely worn mine due to never knowing what to wear them with.
if i were you, i wouldn't be able to resist that t-shirt either. i love the boots (especially for that price)!

I know, isn't that tee great? I need another tee like I need a hole in the head - but there was no way I could walk out of the store without it...
The frye's - they are actually not hard to pull on, and I feel like I have an exceptionally large heel - so no problems - and the shaft does appear slim... they have more too - they have the all black in the same style (smooth upper/suede shaft) and black harness - whatta bargain...

heh. "You need [xyz] like you need a hole in the head" is my Dad's favorite expression... my whole life he's said that. But then he spoiled me anyway.
Good to know about the Fryes!

Crappy picture quality (not a photographer) but I got some niiiice stuff...
I Ben Sherman! The two tanks are Ben Sherman. The jeans are Ralph Lauren Polo Jeans Co. The shoes are Nina from Macys and the three skirts are all Charlotte Russe.
I've been doing school work all weekend. For study breaks, I've ordered stuff of the internet. Hopefully I'll like everything once it arrives.
From J. Crew
Boring but I a wanted brown swimsuit and the top is like one of my favorite bras. And I love Sea Island so I had to get the tee.
I posted these earlier, but I ordered these Fredericks of Hollywood chemises that I want to try wearing with jeans.
From ebay... A knockoff of the Cool Change dress from Victoria's Secret (it was cheaper on ebay than actually from VS) that will make a cute cover up. And this Juicy terry hoodie because I like the color and the style. It was guranteed 100% authentic, so we'll see.
Even when one is home sick, they can do some damage. Love the internet! Got this stuff friday night from bluefly:
Ordered this Walter dress in both pink and orange and will return the one that doesn't fit. I like the orange better, but had to order a 4, which I fear won't fit. The pink came in a 6 so I ordered that in case the orange is too small - we'll see...
This little sweet pea top with scarf thing... it was super cheap so what the heck:
This Eva Franco dress, which I can't wait to wear:
These sterling silver argento vivo earrings... just thought they were cute and inexpensive:

ugh - I just bought more... a sweater of all things - but I have been wanting it and it's on sale at anthropologie - I think I'll be able to get some milage out of it right now and into the spring and next winter... down from $168 to $84.95.

exsupahero - I really like all your stuff. I also love Ben Sherman, especially the spring/summer line, I've never found any of the winter/fall stuff to my liking.
dc - All those dresses are really adorable. Are you able to wear them to your job? Maybe with a little cardi?
I did a little shopping yesterday as well. And bought a couple things at Anthropologie. These jeans fit me so great! I love them.
Also, this cardi...
I got both of them for a steal because the jeans were missing a snap and the cardi was missing two buttons. I already replaced all the buttons on the cardi, I did a cute mismatched buttons thing. And I dropped the jeans off at my tailor to replace the snap. I'm so excited that I got such a great deal on them and they were so easy to fix!
After reading all about the target ballet flats and the crinkle cami's I decided to take a break from my paper/presentation and go take a looksy. I ended up buying a pink and gold pair of the ballet shoes and a black crinkle cami. Soooo cheap...that crinkle cami was on sale for $7.99. I wanted the silver shoes too but they only had one pair in my size with a scuff on it and I didn't want to buy something with a scuff.

I have bought a cardi with missing buttons from anthro before - but the snap thing - I never thought of taking jeans to a tailor to replace a snap - but it certainly makes sense! good tip!
