Opinions on J. Crew cheetah ballet flats

These were $49.90 at my local J. Crew and the last pair left was in my size, so I snatched them up so no one else would.

But I'm not 150% sure I want to keep them. I've been looking for a pair of leopard print ballet slippers for the longest time and I haven't really seen anything except for these that I've even half-liked IRL.

I've been entertaining the idea of trying to locate either London Sole or French Sole slippers, because those are the only comapnies where I've really swooned over the leopard prints. But both of those comapnies would run me over a hundred bucks and I'm not sure if I can quite justify that.

I guess I want my leopard ballet flats to scream "edgy" and I keep thinking that these scream "stodgy" or at least "stodgier than I should be wearing"

So please tell me your thoughts!

For some reason I like them. Maybe its just the thought of wearing jeans with them that I think would be cute.

The pic doesn't do them justice. I've seen them IRL and they are really cute, not edgy though. They give me more of a preppry vibe then edgy.

they're more preppy than edgy, but they're cute. and hey - it's something you've wanted forever, and the last one left, at 50 percent off, is in your size... that's shopping kharma and you can't NOT buy them.

i think they're adorable-- not EDGY per se but not stodgy either - they're very cute.

Lilykind~I wonder if removing the bow and replacing it with something funkier might make them "edgier"?  The bow certainly adds to the sweetness factor...

I like them, but I'd return them because I don't think they're what you're looking for.

i have those and i wear them all the time.  i paid about $125 for them, though!  they are so comfy, go with a lot and are very versatile.  i agree that they are sort of preppy--i wear them to work and such, not out at night.  i think they are a very nice basic and you will find that they work with a lot of things.

I tried them on tonight and took a few pictures...and my feet looked absolutely massive in them.

They're going back this weekend. Maybe I'll drop by London Sole and see if they can make me happy. I hate how I've got this great idea of the perfect shoe in my brain and it doesn't seem to get designed by anyone...
