haha, I love tiedye too!  you can call me a hippie all you want, I kind of am in ways.  Back to the question at hand, I have an awesome tie-dye tunic type top from Lucky brand a couple of years ago- it is red and black and i will def. wear it in thread style as soon as it gets a little warmer.  I think I bought it for $44 ( i could be wrong) but their prices are skyrocketing:

I want those undies now!  I'm very happy with everything I own that is Lucky brand.  I have a tie-dye bikini from them, the hooded embroidered sweatshirt, the tunic, a unicorn print polo, a scarf, and various other items.  They have held up well and look unique for something found in a mall store, IMO.  I kind of like this top, hehe, even though I'm sure there are plenty of haters for it:

I can't find a pic of these online, but I just picked up a yellow and white tie-dye layering cami from Target on clearance for about $5. They also came in pink, green, lavender, and aqua. They fit nicely on me, since they accomodate my long torso.

I have loved tie-dye FOREVER!!! I can't even remember how far back my love goes I'm a big rainbow person, and since a lot of tie-dye is rainbow colored, it works for me.

Lynnie, I actually really like that top. I'm drawn to ethnic looking tops and that one fits that description..

Hippie!!!!

j/k...I actually like ethnic looks a lot, not so much my personal style, but I admire it on others.

If I didn't work in a business environment...this would so totally be mine though...preggers look or not!

This is going to sound kind of goofy, but it's a totally easy cheap idea.

Years ago I was walking through the Ann Arbor Art Fair, and a woman was selling these beautiful tye died cami's and dresses. They were a fortune, so I tried to duplicate the look and was successful, for under $20.

I bought a cheap slip-top from Kohls and a box of RIT dye, and accordian folded the slip longways, and put a bunch of rubberbands around it, so it looked like a french ponytail. I soaked it in a deep red dye for a while, and then left it to dry overnight.

I ended up with a top that was nearly a nearly black purply-red, with these pinkish stripes (I even put the rubberbands closer together near my waist to make me look thinner).

I can't tell you how many compliments I have recieved. It's tye dyed, but still work appropriate, and you can't tell that it was once under wear. You could even sew a few crystal beads along the top lace part to make it more dressy.
