Long story short: I have a law firm that's looking at hiring me to create an service for their clients where I would basically be doing what I did in my last job. For a number of reasons, I'm very interested.
Because the position doesn't exist yet and would need to be started from scratch, one of my contacts at the firm has asked me to draw up a business plan that would show 1) the profitability of such a service and 2) how it would give this firm a strategic advantage.
I know plenty about what it would take to do the job and I have some ideas on how to make it profitable, but I have no idea how to write a business plan. Can anyone help me? I don't even really know where to start.
