My iPod is stupid

It won't play the songs I bought on iTunes. What the hell? Those are the ones I actually paid them for! Any suggestions?

Whoa, That's weird! You're sure you loaded them on to your iPod? Did you do a manual or automatic upload?

I did it automatically. They show up on my iPod but when I try to play them it just goes on to the next song or back to the menu. At first I thought just some random songs were messed up, but then I realized it was the ones I'd bought.
