J Crew and their crazy colors

I love J Crew but their crazy colors drive me nuts sometimes.

I ordered some chinos (they were super cheap on sale so not a big deal) that looked so cute online. When they arrived the green was a lot brighter than I expected

But the way they style things in the catalog, made me think they would be so cute and wearable.

(Like would red and saffron orange work like this IRL?)

I have worn the green chinos with black and with navy. Any other ideas for what to wear with them?

Sorry, girl. All I got is black and navy. However, once it gets warmer and it's spring/summer time, I think your options are much wider. I'm thinking lots of great florals and abstract prints, but in more summery shades. I don't have any ideas for winter!

How about a light heather grey? Or using yellow as an accent? At lunch I walked by a woman wearing a green coat and yellow scarf, it was surprisingly chic! I'm trying to be more bold with color lately but it's tough.

Chocolate brown with the green would look good and then maybe use an accent color in accessories.

I have some similar green trousers that I only wear in Spring/Summer.   I wear them with mostly with white, blues, and some prints with pink.

I'd go for a yellow top or maybe something like these:
