I got an interview coming up (3 weeks from now) with the company I really really liked in Oct/Nov. Its in Houston so I'm a little nervous about that since houston is 6 hours away from home but I'm looking forward to the chance to go and see the office and see if I like this office as much as the New Orleans location.
I have no knowledge of auditing...but I guess I can offer suggestions on general stuff (not like I have had that much experience)
I think it really helps to be prepared on what they will ask you. Practice talking about what you have done in school/internships. I remember my first interview, I had it in my head what I had experience in, but I had a hard time wording it because I was so nervous!
Research the company before you go in, and ask questions during the interview. Employers love that you show interest in their company, and it makes it seem like you want the job more.
Be comfortable with talking about you character traits as well...I don't know if they will ask you what your strengths and weaknesses are ( it is sort of cliche) but just in case have responses prepared. Especially for weaknesses, make them seem like strengths too ( for example: one of my weaknesses is that I can be a little bossy, but it is only because I want the job done well...)
I hope some of this is helpful to you and good luck!
Rocky- one of my troubles is asking the right questions at the end and showing that I know about the company. Have you ever found a good generic question that works well?
I like asking questions about the interviewer themself, their opinions on things, their history, etc. People love to talk about themselves and it leaves them w.a good feeling when you leave.
