I need a new pair of brown leather boots to wear over jeans.. after trying on several pairs, i realized i can't really do flat boots (i'm short, something just seems off), so i was thinking of these hidden wedge boots... thoughts on them? which pair?

i prefer #1, but personally i prefer the look of heeled (as opposed to wedge) boots if you're wanting something with height

I'm not opposed to wedged heels in general - I have a really cute pair, but I don't love the look when the wedge is the same fabric/material as the rest of the show - like these.  I feel like they will go out of style in one season and look dated.  Boots can normally last you for years.
