I have flat thin hair and I love Artec for L'Oreal Proffessionnel texturline texture freeze. Wow, quite a long product name!! There is an aerosol version and non-aerosol. I prefer the non. It smells great and holds really well.
my all-time favorite hairspray is Sebastian Shaper. You can get Shaper Plus if you really want it to hold. The stuff is amazing...completely non-sticky and you can't tell you have it on.

I totally second kenra volume spray - it totally changed my hair texture. It can be a little sticky, but it's ok if you brush it out while it's still wet.
i hadn't used hairspray in years, and when i went to shecky's last spring i got bumble and bumble holding spray in my goody bag. initially i was pissed b/c i didn't use hairspray and really wanted to get some b+b conditioner, but then got home and realized how wonderful hairspray could be for my newly cut bang.
so anyway, i love the bumble and bumble. it's light enough that you don't know it's there and still has great hold. it also is a non-aerosol, which i like b/c i think an aerosol makes it really easy to use too much. i just do one pump and i'm all set.
there's a good vidal sassoon one that you can get at the drugstore--it's called "fine mist" or something--i like it better than just about anything because it is very fine and weightless--it doesn't get sticky or build up.
i also like redken inflate, although i don't know that it's technically a hairspray hairspray.

I agree!!! I usually put it at my roots for more volume, and if my hair goes flat later on, I just poof it back up and it stays (sorry kinda hard to expalin)
