in a good way, but, we were discussing what I should wear to this art exhibit he invited me to, and he said the dress will be all over the place. Some in dresses, some in sneakers. So he told me to wear "a short dress over my rock and republic jeans and my pumas" Now, this sounds like a cool idea...BUT I was just kind of thrown off that he had a sense of style like this...I dunno, it's really cool, but I never had a boy actually suggest something cool and funky for me to wear like that...if I suggested the outfit he suggested to me to one of my ex's they would be like "wtf are you wearing???" Anyway, I think it's really cool, but I was thrown off...do you think he's gay? lol!!!!
Haha, I would have totally been stunned!! Are you sure he isn't bi or something? ;) I dont think i've EVER met a guy who even "gets" those kinds of outfits. There is a guy here at work that always has to mention something about my outfits, "nice get-up" or some crap like that & I'm always like, "___ , you just dont get it."
oh he's a keeper. My bf is slowly learning about fashion and I'm proud of him. I don't have any good jeans like you so he doesn't know names yet but he will

Yeah I was totally stunned and almost embarrased I didn't think of it myself...I was actually speechless for a few seconds...so funny! :)
Another thing he did last week that was totally cute was he gave me an itenirary of what we were doing and what to plan on bringing to wear for each occassion...the only other person who has ever done this for me was my gay trainer when I went to NYC...hmmmm...OH NO I HOPE HE'S NOT GAY!!! I'm overreacting...he's totally not, he's so into chicks...maybe I should just ask if he's ever dated a man just to be sure...lol.

Wow! He sounds like a great guy and a wonderful match for you!
BTW...what ever happened with the gay trainer anyway?

ugh, well, over the holidays two of his boyfriend's family members passed away in a car accident. I hadn't heard from him in like three weeks and finally he responded to me by email saying this. I felt so bad. He also said that since then he has been doing some "soul searching" and the accident made him realize a lot...he didn't get into in w/ me, but obviouslly that meant that he didn't want me in his life anymore because I haven't heard from him in a month :( it sux because he was a great friend before...
hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If a guy suggested what I should wear beyond "that, um, black strappy thing" or "that sexy thing that ties in the front," I think I'd keel over from pure, unadulterated shock. It is bizarre he knows so much about fashion... does he do it for a living or have a job related to it? You should ask him how he knows so much about women's fashion. And if he likes you, he's probably not gay. Unless there's more to you than you let on, Lola! heehee! Just kidding. Right?

LMAO! Come ON!!! I know my name is "Lola" on here, but I'm no crossdresser ;) hahaha!
No he doesn't have a job that requires him to know a lot about fashion...he had a live in girlfriend for two years so I'm thinking that she has something to do with it.
he's definately not gay...he's into baseball, and he likes big dogs, and he likes wine and art and he's really really clean and tidy and he's super concerned over his teeth...OH YEAH! And he lives in the gay district in Boston to top it all off! AHHHH!!! But he says he goes out all the time and when people ask where he's from he always has to follow it by saying "but i'm not gay" lol!
My bf doesn't know brand names yet, but I'm sure I could teach him if I wanted to. His old gf might have done that, like you said. As for style in general, he (my boy) def. does prefer a funkier style, I think it just has to do with the crowd of people that he hangs out with and his appreciation for creative expression in general. I think its a common misconception that all guys prefer small, strappy things. Just enjoy it!
He's totally a keeper. I love how he specifically requested the R&R jeans.
My BF knows a few brand names and he has definte opinions on all the mall stores and department stores as far as shopping goes. He wears girls' jeans and we own twins of a lot of clothes (I mean liek Lacoste polos and Converse sneakers, so relax people) too but I know he's not gay (yeah although somehow he ended up in a profession that's heavily dominated by females and gay men). He defintely likes my funkier things though, and doesn't care for small, strappy, and booby at all.
