Just wanted to share my good news. Its next Tuesday and its for a job training to be a state auditor! Full-time with decent pay. I always wanted to do audit but I didn't get a job with the big 4 firms so now this has come along. I'm really excited and hoping it works out. Wish me luck.
Yay! Maybe you didn't get a job with the big 4 because you were meant to have this one! Good luck! Good luck! Good luck! And if you are excited it will show in your interview and you will have a better chance! I hope you get this job, lsubatgirl! And I hope that when you interview, you find that the job is interesting to you (because, of course, you are interviewing them as well!). Are you doing anything to prepare?
Well I'm about to read up on this office and learn what they do and what the job entails. I wasn't really expecting to have this interview since I turned in my application to be graded the day before it was due and I had already been rejected for it but the guy on the phone said they had gotten 138 apps but liked mine so he's wanting to interview me for the job. I guess I already work for the state which gives me a heads up and I guess he likes what I've done.
Like always what questions should I ask them to sound intelligent? I don't go to my mock interview coach until 3/1 otherwise I'd know what to ask.
woohoo! they'd be lucky to have you lsu! i have a couple of accountant friends and one tax consultant friend--let me get their input on some q's you could ask.
