I will be officially out of debt! I just have to pay off a small balance on my cc and all my debt is gone. No cc, no student loan, no nothing! I am so excited.

That is awesome!  I'm so happy for you.  I was lucky to have my parents help me out through undergrad so I don't have any debt except the monthly credit card bill and let me tell you that stresses me out sometimes.  I know how nice it is to be able to relax after its paid off and you have no debt.

wow, bc, that is truly admirable!  any tips & suggestions for those of us just starting on this monumental task?  i have cc debt, student loans (currently deferred since i'm taking more classes at the local JC), & a car loan (see "I just bought a brand new car" post).  i'm pretty responsible & have already paid off one card, but just wanted to see the perspective of a real life person who's done it, not a book or suze orman (although i do love her!).

Congrats Girl - what an incredible feeling!!  I do not have cc debt, but I do have monster student loans.  No worries though, I can handle the 3.8% on those as opposed to 20% on a cc.
