I just found out my best friend got accepted to the Dartmouth MBA program. I am so excited for her and want to send her a little something because I'm so proud of her (and jealous, I got a C- in econ). She's allergic to most flowers and doesn't like nice chocolates or candy. I'm stumped. Any ideas? I would send her something corny like a Dartmouth mug and tee shirt but she's still hasn't heard from 2 schools so she still hasn't decided where she's going.

Well, you could maybe send her something functional, like a cute day planner for her soon to be busy schedule?

Dr Seuss book "Oh, The Place's You'll Go" is my favorite little gift to give someone who just got a new job, etc.

I like rocky's idea of a day planner. I think a cute, functional brief case/book bag would be nice, unless she already has something that she really loves.

I like the briefcase idea.  How about filling it up with stuff to make like an MBA survival kit, as a jokey and functional kind of thing, maybe like a calculator, a nameplate for her future desk at her future fabulous job (you can get those at Things Remembered), funny business cards you can print on your computer (I put those in as a joke for a gift for a friend who just bought an investment property and I put "slum lord" under her name.  LOL), little things like that.  and I LOVE the Dr. Seuss book.
