I am so mad because I had a bunch of digital pictures saved on my snapfish.com account and yesturday they all disappeared. I emailed technical support and they said since I hadn't ordered any prints that all the pictures in my account are erased after a year.
I understand that they don't want everyone mooching off them and posting their pictures without ever planning on ordering prints (like me) but it would have been nice if they had warned me. I didn't get an email or anthing. Luckily I have copies of everything saved on my computer but it still sucks. I searched all over the site looking for this 'if you don't order anything in a year everything in your account is deleted' stipulation but I didn't find any mention of it.
I'm not sure if other sites like photobucket.com or shutterfly.com do this, but keep this in mind if you just want to use a host to post your pictures.

wait, shutterfly and snapfish are two separate things, right? i like snapfish a lot, and i frequently order prints. will they still delete my photos after a year?
i have a photobucket accound also, but you can't order prints from them.
I find that the snapfish developing isn't the quality of other places like Walmart film developing (can you believe that one?). I'm just very unhappy with it. They come out fuzzy and grainy and I know its not my film or camera. Just sucks since they've already been developed. I can't do much about it now.
wow--i always thought it was my camera. maybe i will try shutterfly next time as an experiment to see if the prints come out better. i was bummed out that my x-mas pix turned out kinda blurry, but now i wonder if it was just the developing?! grrr...
I have tons of pictures saved on Ofoto and they haven't deleted them. I do order prints from them. I also save them onto a disc, though, just in case something like what happened to you happened to me. Their print quality is good. I have heard good things about Wal-Mart's too, from quite a few people.
