I bought a calculator on eBay and two of the keys don't work. I'm not sure how to go about this and I want to know exactly what to say before I email the guy. I'm guessing I'll need to send the calculator back, but should I wait til he refunds my money first? I paid by check, by the way. Is it resonable to ask him to cover the shipping costs back? What have you guys done in situations like this?
I think it depends on the seller, did it say in the description that the calculator was in working condition? If his description was wrong, I would expect a shipping refund too. Usually sellers wait till they recieve the item back before giving refunds..
"TI-83 PLUS CALCULATOR IN VERY GOOD CONDITION....SCREEN IS CLEAN AND THERE ISNT A NAME SCRATCHED ON THE BACK...ONE OF THE LITTLE RUBBER FEET IS MISSING AND THERE IS NO COVER, NO MANUAL. BATTERIES WILL BE INCLUDED. THERE ARE TWO EXTREMELY TINY MARKS ON THE UPPERMOST LEFT CORNER OF THE CALCULATOR BUT IN NO WAY EFFECTS THE OPERATION OF THE CALCULATOR. ALL KEYS FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE CALCULATOR WORKS GREAT!"
