This may come as an overly paranoid post, which I guess it is.
I'm only 22 but I have undereye wrinkles. I don't even want to put concealor on because it just gets in them and makes them horribly noticeable (which is unfortunate, because without concealor you can see my dark circles. sigh). I did a google search for "wrinkles twenties" and it seems like most of the pages just talk about what to do in your 20s to prevent wrinkles, or how if you're unlucky you might see some appear in your late twenties. No one seems to have my plight of being 22 and already having them! I use anti-wrinkle eye cream every night and sun block every morning. I don't smoke, I get tons of sleep, I only have a couple drinks a week, my weight stays constant, and I don't tan.
Is anyone else in my shoes? Does anyone have any suggestions? Sometimes I'll just sit in fromt of the mirror for 5 minutes pulling my skin taut to see how pretty it would be without them. I feel so silly and vain but I can't help it because I think this is all happening too early!

hah. I'm 30 and quit wearing concealer a couple of years ago because the concealer was revealing wrinkles I didn't even know I had. Plus, I dye my hair to its old color because I'm going gray, but that's an unrelated gripe. Anyhoo, don't panic. They probably don't look as bad as you think. But, yeah, concealer can totally make things look worse...have you maybe tried a vitamin k cream or lightening agent on the circles? Then maybe you could go without the concealer? And if anyone has a non-wrinkle accenting concealer, let me know, too, thanks.
I'm there with ya, unfortunately. I'm 24 now, but I've had wrinkles on my forehead and a few under my eyes since I was 18. Sunblock, lots of sleep, water, no smoking, blahblahblah. I'm also recently having to dye my hair due to a few errant grays, which seems extra unfair! We must have unfortunate wrinkle genetics .
Anyway, instead of using a traditional concealer, I'd try a skin brightening/highlighting cream or pen. They're a much nicer consistency and are also sheer so I have much better luck with them. Oddly enough, I also have decent luck with mineral powder 'concealer' applied just under the inner corners of my eyes, where the wrinkles aren't (yet) since I tend to be dark there the most.
I'm only an occasional eye cream user, but I'd also suggest considering an upgrade in your eye cream. Kinerase, Roc?

Are you sure they're wrinkles? Under the eye sounds like eye bags, not wrinkles.
Also, I don't think age has must to do with it, I often see people younger than me who have crows feet around their eyes when they smile and I don't even have a hint of it.
Find a concealer that doesn't settle in lines (I used to use Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer). Stop pulling and stretching. Sometimes wrinkles can be caused by how we apply makeup to the area itself.

I'm 99% sure. I mean, I always have the bag type of lines that even toddlers can get if they don't get enough sleep, but this is besides that...these are ugly ugly wrinkles :(
Thanks for your suggestions, everyone. I keep hoping I'll wake up and they'll be gone, just like I feel like I woke up and they were there!

SUNSCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The earlier you start regulary using it and avoiding the sun the better. Also use a good face serum to restore moisture and much needed vitamins to your skin. I like pure vitamin E oil, or omega 3 face oil.
Better to start being preventative now than being one of those women addicted to plastic surgery and botox!
That's what I'm afraid of! I could totally see myself getting botox before I'm 30 if it keeps getting worse at this pace! And I never thought I would be the kind of woman to go for that (botox, plastic surgery, etc) until I started feeling so insecure about this.

Sleep on your back so you aren't mushing your face into a pillow everynight. Wear sunglasses. Drink water to hydrate your skin. Eat nuts and olive oil. Keep up with the eye cream and all over moisturizer. Lastly, don't worry too much about it. We've all got some.
