I don't own it but I tried it on. I take my usual BR size (4) in this skirt. It actually fits very nicely and hugged my curves very well. Also, I'm petite and I didn't need to get a petite size. The hemline fell right above my knees, like the skirt is supposed to. Frequently, knee-length skirts hit as some hideous point on my calves (that is to say, the fattest part). The skirt is silk, I think, and it has a sheen but it's defintely work-appropriate. The only reason I didn't buy it is because I have golden-olive undertones in my skin and blues aren't really the most flattering colors on me.
