how to act after an impulsive kiss?

OK, so in my campaign to get over this player, I got drunk (first mistake) with his friends (second mistake) and ignored him (third mistake) and then decided to talk to him (fourth) decided it wasn't worth it and walked off (fifth) and THEN topped it off with the following scene:

Five girls and a gay man talking:
"Brad's so cute"
"He's really good looking"
"He has the best body"
"He sure does love kaoroke"
Me: "You know what, you're right. Brad, come here..."
So I kissed him/made out with him on the fire escape (I know, very classy). Then I realized he is cuter than the player anyway. Then I realized I have no idea how to act with a casual hookup. So I reverted to the middle school tactic of ignoring him. Which really isn't what I want to do. And he really is cute and fun. How to act now? I'm used to being the girlfriend, and I just got out of a six-year-long relationship. I think my dating skills are back to what they were in say, fifth grade.

Talk to him - the worst thing you can do is make it a bigger deal than it is by ignoring him/being weird about it.

lol! I'm TOTALLY w/ you on this one! My last relationship was for 4 years, so I can relate...But I would agree that Mia's sugg would prob be best, as an outsider looking in, but if I were in your shoes, i would be just as confused! :)

I feel ya, too about the lack of dating skills. I think every girl feels that way after they end a multi-year relationship - and it totally makes sense! If your dating skills were up to par, I think that'd be the weird thing! But don't worry. You'll develop new ones and you'll learn so fast, you won't even be able to remember wondering about what to do in these situations!

Definitely go talk to him. If nothing else, you want to make out with him again, don't you? Can't ruin a perfectly good hook up with awkwardness! You should flirt with him now - the hard part is over. You like him enough to kiss him and he likes you enough to kiss you back so you know there's mutual attraction - at least enough to flirt handsomely!

Good luck and keep us updated!
