STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

I posted in the Personal Announcement's thread that my dad is getting married within the next few months and he as asked me to be his "best person" (instead of man) and his fiance's daughter will be her maid of honor.

This wedding is going to be so untraditional because there are sooo many people involved. She is expecting 52 people from her family and we are estimating 67 from ours plus friends and coworkers that they've known for 10 + years.

The maid of honor and I will be wearing black dresses. I need help finding something that will hide my tummy and shoes with no more than a 1-1 1/2 inch heel because both my dad and his fiance are sooo short. (I'm about 5'9'', she is 5 foot and he is about 5'5'' or so) I'd like it to be knee length (give or take a little) and something I can wear again. Price range: ?? I guess between $50-75 or so.

I'm excited about everything about to take place...including becoming an aunt because my future step-brother and his wife recently had a baby. So that's neat.

Any ideas for a dress?
