new tote for work- help please!

hi all!
so, i keep thinking that i want a new tote for work that i can fit a slim laptop in, along with a clutch with my CCs, money, etc. and a few files.  it would be easier than lugging around my laptop rollbag when i'm flying from place to place to place which i'll be doing about 1-2x per month.

earlier this year i bought this bag and returned it thinking it was too bag.  now i think it might be perfect.

its a foley & corinna jet setter jr in grey.  i'm not really finding anything else out there that i'm liking.  i did see a girl at one of my salon events with a silver tory burch tote that was leather and that big logo of hers was just embossed so it wasn't overly noticeable but other than that (and my BF's gucci tote) i haven't seen much.  i want to stay in the $500 or less range.  bonus if you can find something at nordstroms b/c i have a couple of GCs and $ from my birthday to spend.

and my favorite, Botkier Gladiator Tote $695 (sorry it's a bit more than your budget)
Dimensions: 14"W x 14"H x 4"D; 6 1/2" strap drop
(comes in black as well, but this one is so pretty!)

i'm gonna stop by nordies this afternoon to see if they still carry the foley jet setter- the last time i was there they only had the other one (i forget the name of it but you guys prolly know what i'm talking about).
