I thought this was an excellent episode. I don't like the whole Caleb thing, I think he's acting way ou of character. His actions before and after the heart attack were just opposite extremes and I don't think he would've done either. And why does Lindsay want to go on a break again? Jeez. I don't really think that's neccessary. I'm soooooo excited for Marissa and Alex though.
The highlight of my O.C. watching was that because of some unforunate circumstances, I ended up watching it with the entire football team. They would yell, "Die bitch, die!" whenever Lindsay came on screen. My personal favorite was when 6'5", 250 lb kid shouted, "You fucking faggot!" when Seth didn't kiss Summer. Oh, kids who got into college for sports! So much fun to hang out with! (Sike)
so yeah, i've been MIA...but I had to come back and see what everyone thought of the OC last night.
loooooooooove Summer. love love love. she and Seth really do have great chemistry (i guess, thus why they're together in real life)...but the slow burn is killing me. *killing* me!!
so sick of Lindsay and her goody two shoes act. geez it's obnoxious. and how many times can she break up with Ryan. seriously. i think this is like the 4th time, at least.
Sandy's in trouble...i guess technically he had legal reasons, but yeah, he's gonna hear it from Kirsten when she gets home...wooo boy.
and where has Julie been? i didn't know how much i'd miss her until she was gone! i don't remember hearing she was going to Europe, just that she was suddenly there, i don't understand. come hoooome, JuJu! your daughter needs some slapping around!
valencianaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! I missed you! I wrote an email to you yesterday but accidentally closed my browser before I had a chance to send it. I'll send you one today.
Anyway....I'm so into the Rebecca storyline. I mean, I think the whole hippie activist fugitive thing is ridic and of course she didn't actually go through with the plan cause Sandy's former love couldn't be a bad seed, but I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Sandy-Kirsten conflict plays out. I'm hoping they bring up stuff about Kirsten and Jimmy Cooper. I was so displeased that they left that hanging.
I miss Julie too!
What do you guys think about Teresa? Is she coming back? The actress is on another show now but Caleb did mention that Ryan knocker her up last night so are they prepping us for her reappearance?
i was a little disappointed in the Caleb turn of events also--i like Evil Caleb. they have to have someone besides Julie Cooper to be the bad guy--what is going to happen now that Caleb is going to be Nice Caleb?
i love love love what they are doing with Seth and Summer and it looks from the previews like they are going to keep pushing them together and pulling them apart. the only thing that makes it hard to digest is that Zach is so utterly clueless that they are clearly still in love with each other and that he keeps enabling them. i'm not buying that--he might be the nicest boy in NB, but he is still a teenage guy.
Sandy messed up in a big way--it looks like the Kirsten reation is going to be ferocious. i don't get why he would do that--why could he not just tell her? if they had to have that plot point, there should have been some reason for it (like a court-mandated gag order re: Rebecca's case or something).
big old yawn again re: Lindsay--i don't think i am ever going to like her unless they turn her evil.
i also really am liking the development of the Marissa/Alex thing--i thought it was really nicely done and truthful--of course Marissa is awkward with it, and it's nice that we get to see that she really is 17 and still trying to figure herself out.
ok, my favorite scene--when Sandy is sneaking in the front door in the morning and Seth slows down on the stairs to watch him, and then his face when Sandy turns and sees him--i was laughing so hard.

I completely agree. I was afraid that it was gonna be lie, LOOK AT THE ANOREXIC GIRLS KISS! But it's been really cool, and I'm excited. I've been (gasp!) even liking Marissa recently. I realize the whole rebelling thing is stupid, but it just feels realistic. I defintely went through a similar phase a couple years ago when I was that age.

I agree. Marissa actually reminds me of a lot of the beautiful, rich and insanely messed up girls that I went to h.s. with. So even though a lot of times I think her character stupid and annoying - it's actually just that her character is realistic! haha
I have to admit that even I like they way that they are playing out the Marrissa/Alex thing. Its coming across almost awkward which IMO makes it seem more real and not look how cool we are-let's make out.
I am wild about the Seth/Summer story. think they have such good chemistry. But doesn't Zack remind you of a big goofy dog that wants to jump around and lick everyones faces?
I miss Julie and wish that she and Caleb would get evil again. There is just not enough evil on the show. The heartattack was really cheesy. "I didn't know how much I liked you until I thought I'd lost you" Give me a break. Lindsay sucks. What a cheesy line.

What a goober. Seriously. Isn't he supposed to be popular or something? But you're right, he's like the shaggy dog.
Theresa will be back...if they never bring her back I will be severely disappointed. I predict Ryan will finally have no drama, and then back she'll be. BTW, does Lindsay know about her and Ryan's alleged baby? I really don't remember them ever having a conversation about it but she didn't really look shocked when Caleb said that. Then I guess it got lost in the uproar, but honestly, don't you think she would get all worked up about that? Oh but she'll probably save that for when they get back together and then she can break up with Ryan *again* over that.
i kind of thought this episode was a dud. it started out great with seth and ryan banter at the breakfast table, but i dunno... the caleb heart attack?
the rebecca stuff isn't that interesting to me. sandy didn't do anything so horrible. he lied about it to kirsten, but he had his reasons. the marissa stuff is annoying just because i don't see them having her have a real relationship with alex. in a few episodes marissa will do something stupid, or alex will decide that marissa is only with her to get back at her parents, or whatnot.
at least lindsay might be gone. she's so boring! the whole point was for her to be difficult and rumble with ryan, but for the past few episodes all they do is talk about caleb and kirsten all hushy-like.
WHY did seth need summer to pose for him? he spent the summer drawing her for memory and did just fine. they might as well have just had her randomly walk into his room and put on a stripper outfit, then lick him all over.
I hate Lindsay!! She is so annoying!! The whole thing with Marisa is so dumb too! Its not going anywhere?!! I love Seth and Summer getting back together though!!
I liked last week's OC. This week's looks even better. I hope Summer & Seth get back together. And I hope everything works out between Kirsten & Sandy.
Who's your fave OC-er?
For the girls it's - Marissa
For the guys it's -Seth & Ryan too cute to not tie, lol.
