ok, the sale wasn't as good as the girl told me but it still wasn't bad. I scored a pair of tweed mary jane pumps that were originally $425 for $175. Most of the sale items were $175. So that's about 60% off. It was amazing, when I sliped on these babies, it was like butter. Oh, I will never go back to cheap shoes again. (ok, that's not true, but still...) I feel so empowered now by my shoes. If I find a picture, I will post it.
I also walked down to Jimmy Choo and they were having a sale too, but not as deep and I didn't care for anyo fo their sale merchandise.
I did find a pair of Michael Kors lavender suded pumps at Saks for $205 and they were 60% off, but the salesperson couldn't find the other shoe. Damn it!
hey Irene - one thing I have been doing with my more expensive shoes like my manolo's, gucci's and prada's is have a thin layer of rubber applied to the sole of the shoe at the cobbler. It really extends the life of the shoe and keeps you from slipping on those soft leather soles - it's worth the little extra expense when you drop a bunch of money (or get a good deal) on a really nice pair of shoes.

Great shoes Irene! Congrats on your score-I have done the same thing as Detroit-I think it also helps save the toe tips too, not being right on the ground.
