hey irene! thanks for thinking of me!

my life is 100% insane. someone actually hired me in mid december to do her wedding invitations for her and so i did that, which was fun. she actually posted the invitation on theknot in her bio and as a result, i got 40 inquiries about doing wedding invitations! so now i have 5 girls that i am doing invitations for (i didn't want to take on more than that yet because i am new to this and i have my own wedding to plan/invites to do!). so that has been keeping me busy and also has me rethinking the direction of my business. i always knew that i wanted to do solely custom work (my retail products are pretty much to just build my name), but i hadn't considered doing wedding stationery. so now i am in the process of rebuilding my website and product portfolio/offerings and am working with a PR agent to help me do a complete relaunch of my business in July. i'm still juggling this with my day job as well, and i am now working a few less hours for them, hopefully working down to part-time and maybe leaving altogether after the wedding. speaking of the wedding, it's finally coming together! we actually just got our honeymoon itineraries today, which i am very excited about!

so i haven't been online much at all and when i am here i usually feel so overwhelmed by the number of new posts and so out of the loop that i only stay for a few minutes at a time. so that's what's new with me!

is everything all set for your wedding? i can't believe the invites went out!

Oh Smash, that is great. You know, I never even thought of you doing wedding invitations. Had I known, I could have had you do mine. It's a great undertaking though and I wish you all the luck with that.

I cannot wait to see your new site. I may contact you at the end of May. I am going to need some Thank You cards so maybe you will have some time to do it then?

Your honeymoon, where did you guys finally decide to go?

The wedding is pretty much done. We are taking ballroom dancing classes and have had our song completely choreographed. It's been a lot of fun. My bridal shower invites went out on Monday. The Bachelorette party invites go out this weekend. So many little things to do now, ya know.

Hi Smash! I'm happy to hear that you're doing so well! I loved the cards that I ordered from you a long time ago (the "will you be my bridesmaid?" cards) and I always thought that your work was something special...congrats and good luck!

Where did you decide to go for your honeymoon? You mentioned going to Australia (that's where we went) ages ago, but I haven't heard anything since.

we are about 95% sure that we are going to Bali for our honeymoon. we are working with a travel agent who specializes in that area of the world. she sent us three itineraries - one for only Bali, one for Bali/Lombok, and one for Thailand. so we have to look over the itineraries and see which one we like best, but i think we will probably pick the Bali or Bali/Lombok. if so, we will stay at the Four Seasons Sayan resort, which looks amazing - http://www.fourseasons.com/sayan/index.html

aren't you worried about that area being damaged by the tsunami? Also, please be sure to get all your malaria shots and stuff, since that's going to be a big deal right now. I don't know my geography at all, I think bali's kind over in that area, but if not then disregard this! or not, better to be safe than sorry...
