I'm in desperate need of a new purse for fall and money is seriously tight right now (weddings, destination showers, bachelorette parties, new car, etc.). My bf and my anniversary is next week and we agreed on a $100 gift cap. Any chance I can find a decent bag for that? I'm willing to chip in a little more if necessary. I've checked out the usual suspects and come up with nothing. Any great sales I should be checking out?
I tend to stick with colored bags because I wear brown and black pretty evenly and don't want to change purses every day. I need something slightly roomy with enough space to carry everything you can possibly imagine (books, bottles of water, wallets, etc.).
I really like this one! How about something on a Hayden Harnett sale? Or maybe a gift cert to a place where you can then chip in an extra $50 if you need to. I find that $100 is an odd price range for bags, they're always alot cheaper (but crappy) or alot more.

I'm definitely willing to chip in an extra $50 to get something decent.
You guys don't think the purple one is combining too much all in one? ombre, patent, quilted, purple....
I like it too but I'm concerned about it being too much...
I do actually think it is a tiny bit too much. I like a few of the ones posted so far. What I thought of right away is this lucky bag, which is really nice IRL but at $182 might be a smidge out of your range.
But I also did a quick search on ebay, to see if you could get something a bit nicer for less money. However, I recognize you may want something brand new. I generally tried to find things I thought would go for around $100-$150.
I've had good luck with the quality of Charles David handbags:
Thanks, MM! I've been meaning to check out ebay but I only remember when I'm at work, where it's blocked. Boo. What do they think we'll do? Search ebay all day?
I looove the Lucky bag... I might be able to swing it if I'm super good this weekend in Ptown. I wonder what the odds of that will be?
I saw some of the JS purses IRL tonight and ugh. They're much more garish than the pics online and they're certainly no better than cheapie purses, quality-wise. I think I might chase some on ebay and the sales and hold off until I can find one I really like. Oh well.
I really like the 1st one MM posted, the green one you posted, and the last one FP posted. I dont know if you have any boutique stores near you, but I know that mines have cute bags around that price range. And I prefer to buy bags in person to feel them out, unless I already know the brand then I buy off line. keep us posted on what you decide :)
