I wasn't going to take a vacation this year b/c my bf is in school and I really need a new car so we can't afford to go away. But my mom has offered to pay for a trip for her and I to go visit my cousin in London, including spending money. So basically ten days in England would cost me nothing.
But I just feel a little odd about having my mom pay for everything. She has a super good high paying job and no more mortagage payment so she isn't exactly strapped for cash. And she offered, I did not ask or even suggest this. It just feels a little funny b/c I'm so used to taking care of my own bills. When are you too old to still be the "baby" and have parents pay for things?
If your mom offered and can totally afford it, she probably really wants you to go and your going with her will mean as much to her as her paying for you does to you. (wordy -- i hope that makes sense.)
it does feel weird to have your parents pay for something after you have been on your own for years, but i think you should go, since it will probably make your mom really happy. you don't have to let her pay for everything -- offer to cover a food or something to let her know you appreciate the trip.

I totally agree. Buy her some plates or notice when she really likes something and surprise her with it on the last day. Your mom wants to spend time with you and make new memories of you guys, so dont hurt her feelings
