This is how bad I've become. I'm starting a thread about procrastinating because I don't want to work on my thesis. I think I've (nearly) perfected the art of doing everything I can to avoid working. I was supposed to email a draft of my first chapter to my professor hours ago. Bahhhhhhhhhhh!
It's gonna be a long night.
Does anyone else do this? I'm beginning to think it's a disease.
I do this ALL the time. I even start cleaning and organizing when I have something important I need to do. I'm a really bad procrastinator. At least my house gets clean when I have something important coming up.
I have 3 HUGE projects due at EOB on Friday, and I cannot bring myself to work!!! I know I am going to end up working 12 hour days for the next 4 days, but I just cannot get motivated......argh!
Maddie, I do the exact same thing. If I know I have to work, I'll do all of the "easy" stuff first....laundry, clean the fridge, organize something...anything to keep from doing what I really have to do.
I can relate. We moved into our house 6 months ago, but have yet to get furniture, window coverings, set up the guest room, etc. We finally just got motivated to get our butts in gear over the past two weeks because we're having a superbowl party and lots of people are coming over! If it weren't for that, who knows how much longer we would have put it off. It's just too easy to relax and have fun on the weekends!
I have 6 math homework assignments due tommorow, that I have yet to start on. Oh by the way I also have a test tommorow as well in the same class. Talk about being a great student. Lately I feel so blah, I can't even motivate myself to do my homework.
I do the same thing - maybe procrastination is a universal thing (as much as some would deny it). When I was a dance teacher, I would sometimes wait until the day of class to choreograph recital dances - eek! Good thing the kids' parents never found out!

I can't believe I am going to admit this....
We have lived in our house for 16 months now, and have one bathroom with no window coverings (I never go in there), two bathrooms and one bedroom with those $5 paper shades, NOTHING is on the walls (we have boxes of stuff from Pottery Barn unopened in a spare bedroom -most of it over a year old, plus box after box in the attic of really cool house decorations), we have no bathroom fixtures in any of the bathrooms (things like toilet paper holders - it was a new construction so a lot wasn't done) and not because we don't own them -we just haven't put them in yet, the outside has only had the fence and a few other minor improvements done - no landscaping whatsoever.
And none of this is from lack of money, just lack of motivation between SO and I. We only get one day off a week and its pretty apparant at this point that its just not a priority for us.
Whenever we have people come into town we do something - like this Thanksgiving my Mom came to town so we bought our dining room set, serving dishes, Christmas tree (fake), decorations and whatnot.
