I was going to post earlier but since I don't work out I felt kind of dumb. But here are some of the songs from my "dance around the apartment alone" playlist.

Sweet Pea - Tommy Roe Radiation Vibe - Fountains of Wayne Modern Love - Bowie Dancing with Myself - Billy Idol Atomic - Blondie
If you are looking for some good music I love working out to Euro. It really makes me want to move when I am doing cardio. A couple of my favorites are:
Poison by Groove Theory Bailando by Loona (the Spanish version is way better than the English) Santa Maria by Tatjana California Dreamin Benny Banassi remix Guilia by DJ Lhasa (Spanish version as well) Anything by Madison Avenue

I all Madison Avenue, but Don't Call Me Baby is one of my fave dance songs of all time. Kylie Minogue is great for workouts too. Sophie Ellis Bextor is great too as a whole, but IMO her best song is Murder on the Dancefloor. Anastacia is also usually pretty empowering and fast-paced enough.
Here's some of the dance songs I have in my iPod.
Satisfaction: Benny Banassi pts. the biz
Dragonsta Din Tei (I have no idea who does this...according to my iPod, the artist's name and the song title are the same)
Danzel: Pump It Up
Dannii Minogue (Kylie's sis): I Begin To Wonder and Don't Wanna Lose This Groove
Boogie Pimps: Somebody to Love
Delirium f/Sarah McLachlan: Silence (IMO the best dance song of all time)
Eyeopener: Hungry Eyes
Special D: Come With Me
Eric Prydz: Call On Me
The Shapeshifters: Lola's Theme
LMC vs. U2: Take Me To The Clouds Above
Motorcycle: As The Rush Comes
3 of a Kind: Babycakes (this is super-cheesy, but that's why I love it)
Vengaboys: Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom
And I find Atomic Kitten's "Ladies Night" to be empowering, despite the fact It samples the Kool and the Gang song but it's British girls who can't sing at all doing pop (what a surprise). I like Girls Aloud for the same purpose.
I also like to listen to Kelis a lot, though she's not dance. Also listen to a lot of Frou Frou, but I wouldn't call that Euro dance music in the same vein as the rest.
haha I like Girls Aloud as well. I lived in the UK for two years and absorbed a lot of their pop music. Their pop/dance music is great to work out to, i.e. Kylie.
I also love rock - like Led Zeppelin or Supergrass, especially for running.
I haven't put together a iPod playlist yet, so this will be great when I'm doing that.
i was playing around with my ipod the other night and made a new playlist for running. then when i attempted to use it, i had to try hard not to start dancing on the treadmill. i am so dorky. anyway, figured i would share in case anyone is looking for a new mix. it's a lot of mid-90s gems!
i admit it...i fell for an infomercial. there was a commercial for this cd called FIRED UP TWO. and i bought it. it's workout music but i seriously love it. check out amazon. there is a fired up one as well.

Here's mine. I have separate ones for cardio, weights, and pilates. This one is cardio.: I want to be free/Queen, Dirt of your shoulders/Jay Z, Sophisticated Lady/Lenny Kravitz, Don't Let me Down/No Doubt, Mama Mia/Abba, One Two Step/Ciara ft. Missy Elliot, Ocean Avenue/Yellowcard, Milkshake/Kalyce.
It's pretty short b/c I only do cardio intervals. No 45 minutes of cardio for me!
