Okay, I've been pretty bad this week getting the Cynthia Vincent dress and the weekend before with my Sigerson purchases... but now I really got to get on the penny-pinching band wagon!
I bought some groceries and some office supplies (which I desperately needed). I need to go back to Staples and get a three-hole punch.
All I got was one shirt from Old Navy, which I was supposed to get last week but it was OOS. Not shopping has made me realize how many clothes I have in my closet. I haven't had any trouble making outfits...I have "discovered" a lot of stuff I never knew I had.
I am going to save my $$ for awhile and then get a nice mid-end handbag...I am thinking Kooba or M by MJ. It's great motivation!

i didn't buy anything either. the fact that i haven't really had time to shop helps. i might fall off the wagon this week b/c it's tax free week, and there's something i really want.
I just came back from grocery shopping at Trader Joe's, Costco, and Target...but the only thing I bought at Target was lotion and paper towels.
I also threw away so many clothes that I never wore (maybe 30% of my wardrobe) and I was shocked to find out how much I still have left...to think all the money that I could've saved by not buying this one piece for 8 bucks here and another for 15 there. *sighs*
But unfortunately, I have to break the ban because of the whole buying work clothes situation. No worse reason for me to break a ban than to buy stuff I have to wear that I don't even really like.
I miss tax-free week. I wish California would have one too.
I'm gonna jump in on your thread here. This was my first weekend of non-shopping....I am on a temporary ban that will end when I can't take it anymore! It was sooo hard, all I wanted to do was go to the shops! BUT I managed to be good and all I bought was a pack of beaters at Target ($6) and a box of hair dye ($5). Not bad considering I usually blow over 100 in a normal weekend! I also took time on Saturday to clean out my closet (eek!) and rediscovered some stuff I had forgotten about. I also put some stuff that doesnt fit anymore on ebay- if that sells I will treat myself to something new and fun.
I did pretty well this week. The only thing I bought was yet 2 more textbooks. I'm so tired of having to buy school books. I think I'm already up to $350 and I have at least one more to buy at the end of this month!
Yup, another successful weekend of no shopping for me. I did treat myself to a new magazine (the March Marie Claire - lots of good stuff in there!) for when I use the elliptical at the gym, but that was it. I think I'm starting to get addicted to this saving money thing, it's so nice to not have to scrape by every paycheck!

Funny, I also bought nothing but the Marie Claire this weekend, and it almost caused me to cave on my shopping ban! There is a pair of Alberta Ferreti wedges with a feather strap across the toe and a velvet ribbon lace that I have been DYING for. A store in San Diego said they would hold one for me when I first saw them, and then I said no, but there was another pic in the Marie Claire, and I waaaaaaaaaaaaant them. I resisted. The $420 price tag helped.

I completely broke my ban this week. I was at Target and ended up walking out with two blazers and three cardigans. So bad. I also bought a pair of shoes from zappos. Bad, bad, bad. I'll try to do better this week.
I was totally bad too. I caved & bought some Frye Harness boots, but only paid $45.17 thanks to a Zappos coupon & price-matching. I also got a pair of Kors clogs from Gotham City Online that I've wanted for quite some time.
I'm back on the shopping ban, but I couldn't resist those prices.
This weekend, I went to Dominick's (grocery store) and Whole Foods, so obviously bought stuff there. Today, I ordered contacts, but that's a NECESSITY.
