TONS of storage. I think it's like 1GB so you never have to delete anything. And as Halleybird said, there is a search feature. So say you're looking for an email where your friend mentioned a birthday party. You can do a search for "birthday party" and it will find the email.
i have 3 or 4 as well, if the girls above run out. i love gmail & the notifier rocks!! i never have to check my email unless i am notified that there's a reason to!!
Gmail ROCKS if you order something online! I always used to have 5 billion email confirmations, shipping notices, pending returns, etc in my inbox and could never find anything! If you use gmail, all your emails from the same site just collect as one "conversation" - it is perfect for ordering stuff online!!!!
- 1GB of storage, which prompted companies like hotmail and yahoo to increase their storage spaces so that they don't lose anymore customers to gmail.
- Search capability. You can search all your emails for a specific word or search the internet through google. I use this feature quite a bit!
- Conversations are grouped together. If you send an email out to a friend and that friend responds, the 2 emails will be grouped together in a conversation format. So you can view all the replies and responses in one page. I think this is the best feature of gmail.
Gmail is by invitation only since it's in testing phase. If you have the opportunity to have one, why not?
Holy heck!!! After I sent an email to LexNVA, Gmail gave me 50 more invites. what am I gonna do with all those? I don't even know 50 people!
PS - according to my technology nerd kids, Google is developing its own web browser that is expected to be more popular than Explorer or Navigator. Supposedly it will be invite-only too.
