What foreign countries have you been to? Italy (7x), England (2x), Spain (2x), Canada (2x), Japan (1x), Belgium (1x), France (4x?), and Holland (5?). This is pathetic but I'm fuzzy on the number of trips to France and Holland bc they were trips to see my boyfriend so they all sort of meld together in my mind.

Which is your favorite and what makes it so awesome? Italy is my favorite (clearly!), mainly because of the history, art and architecture, and the food. Japan is my other top choice. My trip there was one of my favorite experiences. Everything about it was just so magical and fun and beautiful. I can't wait to go back.

I lived in Europe for 2 years and traveled quite a bit. England is my favorite, but that is where I lived so it has major sentimental value to me. I'd recommend traveling to Scotland and the Isle of Skye, its beautiful! London is great as well, with all the fantastic free museums and amazing (but expensive) shopping.

Paris is probably my favorite city in the world... its just so beautiful and romantic. Of course it is the first place I visited in Europe so it also has sentimental value. I enjoyed Spain a lot - Southern Spain is really amazing - the Alhambra in Granada is one of the coolest buildings I've ever been to. Madrid and Barcelona both have wonderful architecture and a sweet nightlife (I mean they eat dinner at 11pm).

I also really loved Amsterdam, it has a lot of charm. My ex and I found lots of cute bars tucked away bars that served old world beer. The canals are stunning in the winter - they line them with lights. It is so much more than a party town, but of course its fun to see the coffee shops!

Hmmm, I've also been to Italy - loved Florence, it has such amazing history. Brussels is really cute, has some great beer houses! Dublin is pretty cute, but I have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed - I think I'd like to go back when I'm older. Greece is absolutely gorgeous, I'm going back next summer and to Prague and hopefully Budapest.

I've also been to Mexico and Canada.  I thought Ottawa was a really neat mix of European and North American architecture.  I'd really like to see Montreal next.

Oh man, I can't wait to travel again!!

I have only been to Niagara Falls on the Canadian side which was really nice but I should be going to Europe next year. I am super excited and am enjoying reading the replies here and seeing the photos. Are you working on planning a trip soon Wicked?

France, England, Italy, Canada, Bangledesh, Thailand

France--Lived in Paris for 6 weeks and had the time of my life. You know all the wonderful things people say about Paris? About how romantic and magical and life-changing it is? Those things are all true and kind of an UNDER-statement, if you can believe it. And all the bad things, people being rude/arrogant/etc. weren't true for me AT ALL. I didn't speak French at all and everyone I came across was so welcoming and bend-over-backwards nice. If I could go back in time to any time in my entire life, it would be those weeks I spent in Paris. Logistical details that made the trip fabulous: flew Virgin Atlantic, lived in a flat in the Latin Quarter with one of my best friends, we paid $1616 each for the entire time and are now good friends with the landlord so when we go back we don't have to go through the leasing agency (my friend's already been back once with her mom, but I haven't been back since), went in October, so not tourist season and as luck would have it, the weather was perfect almost the entire time (it only got cold and rainy during our last two days there).

England--Went to London for a week after Paris. Wonderful but it didn't hold a candle to Paris, think this might just be me being sentimental about having to leave Paris though. Loved shopping and high tea the most.

Italy--Rome for 6 days, Florence for 4 days, Venice for 3 days. Loved Venice and stayed at this bed and breakfast that was basically this really happy older couple's ultra-luxurious apartment that they rented rooms out of. We had our own wing, so fab. The hostess gave cooking lessons and was just such a warm caring person. Venice itself was absolutely lovely it felt like being on a movie set but very crowded and had kind of a Disneyland vibe to it because there were so many tourists, by the way we were there in October again. Florence was fine, the statue of David is just as amazing as people say but other than that I got kinda bored. The street shopping was fun. Rome was beautiful and if it had been the first European city I visited I probably would've been more impressed but while I absolutely loved it (and I got to meet ico from the forum, who is such an absolute doll!), I loved Paris more. Also, this was the opposite bed and breakfast experience from Venice, basically just a bedroom in someone's messy apartment and breakfast was just tea and toast as opposed to the gourmet meals we were served in Venice! Sidenote: Italian guys are the most forward guys I have ever met in my entire life, but most of them are too cute to get mad at ;)

Canada--It feels weird putting this down because I don't remember my experience. I was born in Edmonton, Alberta when my dad was studying there but we left when I was one. Pictures show it looking chilly but at least I look happy :)

Bangladesh--Where both my parents are from. I went to visit for six weeks when I was fourteen. The shopping rocks and it was wonderful to see my relatives but all the poverty made me sad :(

Thailand--stopover on our way to Bangladesh, we stayed in a nice hotel and had really yummy food but it was only for a night so that's all I remember.

My absolute favorite is London. I love everything about that city, and used to wish I could live there someday. I've been there several times, and cannot wait to go back again someday (hopefully soon!)

I also lived for six months in Glasgow. I normally proabably wouldn't love a place like Glasgow, but I grew to love it and I still miss it so much. Scotland is a beautiful country.

I pretty much love to travel anywhere in Europe. Traveling is so amazing, and I have so many more countries that I want to go to (and a lot that I want to return to!)

Oh my gosh, I haven't been anywhere. lol. Well, I'm not a big fan of the flying and all. But someday I'll make it out of the country.

Wait! I've been to Mexico...sorta. Haha...
