I find I just do not have the time to go to the gym. Sure, I have an extra hour a day to work out but by the time I drive there, check in, change etc etc etc one hour turns into two. So I was thinking of maybe getting a video/dvd to do. I am up for anything , the only one I have ever done was my mom's '80s Raquel Welch areobics. So I don't really even know what to look for. Any recs?
i have a couple old denise austin videos that i love -- but i haven't done any of her new stuff.
if you have access to a library, lots of librarys now have videos you can check out and they usually have a bunch of workout videos. then you could try one before you buy it.
I have Denise Austin's Yoga & it kicks my butt. From what i hear tho, Winsor Pilates & Cathe F(something) videos are the best... u should head to makeupalley.com, they always review/discuss workout videos in the health & fitness section. hth
hmm, e_doli, i'm not exactly sure but it's either fat blasting or maybe something to do w/ abs (or both?). anyways, i think it's great, my only complaint is that i'm no yoga head so i'm not sure i'm doing the poses correctly & i even hurt my shoulder doing one. i stopped for a while but am thinking of picking it up again tonight. it has ball excercises at the end, but i've never gotten that far . the poses are pretty difficult but i think it's the kinda thing that just takes time to get down... i sweat a TON tho & feel like i get a good workout!
i actually really like the tae bo videos.. i used to use them every day and saw results. i used the basic and the advanced of the original series. i also recently bought the live! tapes off of amazon and it's a lot of fancy footwork, imo. i prefer the old school tapes best.

I love Steve Ross. I have tapes and tapes of Inhale. Mara~ I'm so jealous you get to go to his class!! I've tried a lot of different yoga videos and I like his classes by far the best.
Also, I just started Core Secrets last night. I'm feeling it in all the right spots today.
Grace- his classes are a madhouse (you have to get there at least an hour early to get a spot and then you usually have feet iny our face the whole time, etc!) but they are sooo worth it. its ruined me for other yoga places!
