I just saw this sequined cardi in silver the other day and can't get it out of my head.  Is it worth $140?   Has anyone seen a cheaper alternative?  I saw the bebe one but it was a shrug and didn't even come close.   Here's the one I like, in another color:


I don't like it in gold, pink or any other color.  It's truly much nicer in silver;  It's more of a dark grey with just the right amount of flash.  The mannequin had it on with a teal satin cami and jeans.  It would be cute that way (I've bought so many satin camis this past year!) or over a dress or even paired with a skirt, or over that dark silver satin strapless top I bought from Banana around Christmas.  


What do you think?   Wait to buy it at the end of my self-imposed pseudo-ban (end of Feb.) or get it now?  On the upside it might be on sale by then. But what if it sells out in that color/size before then?  What do you think? TIA!

when i first saw that cardi i thought it was really cute. however i've seen so many girls wearing it in nyc that it's lost some of it's appeal. so i think you should wait until the end of your shopping ban and get it then.

Vanessa, i saw the silver one and i have been dreaming of it too.  i say, wait until ban is lifted.  at least, that's what i'm going to do.  maybe you could get your SO to get if for you if your still swooning as a v-day treat?

We had that at the boutique I work at and I think it is very cute and versitale.  I would wait until the end of your shopping ban though cause surely it will be on sale by then, it's been out since before Christmas

If you absolutely can't resist, you really can afford it and you think supplies might be limited I would say go ahead and make a ban exception. Otherwise request it as a V-Day gift or wait until your ban is over. It all depends on how bad you really want it.

I've seen it in a chocolate brown and want it so bad, but I'm waiting until my ban is over and if it meant to be I'll get it then.  I have the same concerns as you, but you'll feel better if you can wait it out and the cardi will be more rewarding.  You may even find something you want more.

I am also currently obsessed with green - something that has carried over from my winter wardrobe into my spring wish-list.  This one is from Urban Outfitters, btw.

it's very cute but that's a lot to pay for such a trendy item which you might not even like anymore after a few wearings. I saw a black one at Charlotte Russe a little while ago, and the urban outfitters one is a cute alternative.

I too, am completely in love with this.  I just can't justify spending that much on it, mainly b/c I saw one at Forever 21 a while back & passed it up in fear that i'd see 5 other girls wearing it out that same night....  Well, it turns out that i did not see a lot of them around,so went i went back it was SOLD OUT.  Then I ran into that beauty you posted & have not been able to get it out of my head!!!


Im going to check UO for the green one.  The silver & chocolate color are sooo pretty though.
