i try to go at least 5 w/ rest on weekends (the gym is next to work so less motivation to go on weekends) but i've gone on weekends b4 when i'm really bored.
I voted 7. However, I usually do a really hard, sweat my brains out work out 5 days a week. The other 2 days I just walk or hike w/ my dog, but since we usually do 3-5 miles, I think it counts.
Now I know why I have the problems I have I don't work out enough - only three times a week if I am lucky. You girls inspire me. I need to hit the gym a bit more.
Prissy - you'd be surprised how easy it can be when you make health and fitness a priority. People are alwasy complaining to me that they don't have time for the gym, and I always tell them, anyone can make the time. Even if it's a quick 15 min in the morning, or 15 during lunch and 30 min after work, that counts too!
I also had problems going more than 2-3 times a week, but one day I woke up and decided to make it a priority. I have been successfully going 5-6 times a week for 4 months now and loving every minute of it (ok, maybe not during those uphills in spinning)...
my aim is 5-6 and i'm pretty good at it. as ally s. said it really is about making it a priority. i never feel like going to work in the morning, but i do. i treat the gym the same way, and i always feel better about going to the gym -- i wish i could say the same about going to work.
